Joe Thornton released a booming slap shot from the top of the circle while Dany Heatley screened Jonas Hiller. The shot caught Heatley in the side and Hiller couldn’t pin point it. It was right at Heatley’s side where Patrick Marleau stepped up and banged the loose puck into the empty net.
