Marion Rolland’s Downhill Run Lasts Less Than Five Seconds

Yes, for the most part, Olympic skiers are much better than us, what with the ability to barrel down an icy slope at over 70 mph. But once in a great while, we get reminders that even the world’s best still have their “falling while trying to get on the chairlift” moments.

↵The most recent example came on Wednesday, in the women’s downhill, when France’s Marion Rolland lost her balance and fell, just two seconds into her run.

↵Adding injury to insult: she hurt her knee in the fall.

↵“Obviously, the morale is not too good,” a spokeswoman for the French team said.
