You Win 12 Straight Titles, You Get to Celebrate Like This

↵↵The man in blue is Baset Chaudhry, the senior co-captain for the now 12-time defending champion Trinity Bantams. What are they 12-time champions of, you ask? If you missed it in the video, it’s squash. In all, Trinity has won 224 consecutive varsity matches after defeating Yale on Sunday.↵

↵↵⇥As Chaudhry was leaving the court to join the celebration Trinity’s team and fans had started on the floor, he surprisingly shoved [Kenneth] Chan back onto the court, marring the historic night and concluding a heated match between the two players that included taunting not normally seen in squash.↵⇥↵⇥“I thought it was just a pretty classless match,” Yale head coach David Talbott said. “I’ve never really seen that in a squash match.”↵⇥

↵↵↵And here I thought squash was a game for gentlemen that got its roots from France. (Or so the U.S. Squash site told me.) I’m trying to picture this scenario playing out in any of the “big four” sports and having it not result in a beating. Great restraint from Chan, but it would’ve made for a much better clip he had clubbed Chaudhry over the head.↵
