Cornell Hoops Passes Time With Truth or Dare

While a lot of the early-season hype for the Ivy League was directed at Harvard and Jeremy Lin, pretty much all of that spotlight shifted to Cornell after nearly knocking off No. 1 Kansas in Lawrence. One of the Big Red’s players, Jon Jaques, is blogging for the New York Times. When discussing the trip back to Ithaca, New York recently, Jaques gave great insight into what these Ivy League minds do with time to kill.↵↵⇥Like a bunch of teenage girls at a slumber party, we began to play Truth or Dare on Jeff Foote’s iPhone. It shouldn’t have come as a surprise that there was an iPhone application for this classic time waster (it’s hard to find something that doesn’t these days), but the high-tech version of the game still came as a revelation. Jeff programmed seven names into his phone and the device randomly selected an individual each turn. That player then clicked on the phone’s Truth or Dare buttons, which prompted a command. Truths were revealing, as always, but the Dares proved to be the most entertaining.↵⇥↵⇥Geoff Reeves was picked on early and often: he was dared to simultaneously wear an article of clothing from each participating player until his next turn, then one turn later was required to give himself a toothpaste mustache. I was dared to let a blindfolded Ryan Wittman draw a highlighter mustache on my face. He didn’t do a terrible job either. (The color was green, if you were curious.) ↵⇥

↵↵I just wonder whether Andy Bernard left out this little detail about playing Truth or Dare when detailing his Cornell career on The Office.↵
