The United States won bronze Wednesday night in Women’s Bobsled, finishing behind a pair of Canadian teams.
U.S. Wins Bronze In Women’s Bobsled, Canada Wins Gold And Silver
It was the USA 2 sled -- the team of Erin Pac and Elana Myers -- that claimed the medal for America, coming in 1.12 seconds behind the gold medalist, Canada 1, and just 0.27 seconds back from Canada 2, the silver medal winner.
Germany 1 finished fourth, 0.41 seconds out of medal contention. The other two American teams, USA 3 and USA 1, finished fifth and sixth, respectively. USA 1 is piloted by Shauna Rohbock, who won silver in Torino.
The gold for Canada was their seventh of the games, putting it in a three-way tie with Germany and the United States.
USA 2 was in second position after the first three heats, but was overtaken on the fourth and final run.
