Carl Edwards became a dad yesterday afternoon, as wife Kate gave birth to a baby girl named Anne.

↵Edwards wrote on his Facebook page this morning that Anne (or “Annie,” as it seems they will call her) is eight pounds, four ounces and “likes to eat and cry.”
↵Sounds like most other babies we know. And some NASCAR drivers.
↵Anyway, Edwards said there have been few complications so far. He wrote:
↵↵all of the well wishes and support from everyone mean a lot to us. kates doing great, though shes having a little trouble burping annie....whole new world!
↵↵Edwards’ Facebook page already had nearly 1,500 messages of support in less than two hours – and more than 2,000 of those “people like this” thumbs up thing.
