In case you needed further proof that Canada knows how to party (and drink), here are photos of the on-ice celebration by the women’s hockey team after beating USA to win gold on Thursday:
Canada’s Women’s Hockey Team Celebrates By Drinking, Smoking On Ice; IOC Not Pleased

↵Naturally, the IOC didn’t enjoy this sort of behavior because drinking should only be done behind closed doors:
↵↵Gilbert Felli, the IOC’s executive director of the Olympic Games, said it was “not what we want to see.”
↵“I don’t think it’s a good promotion of sport values,” he said. “If they celebrate in the changing room, that’s one thing, but not in public. We will investigate what happened.”
↵↵See, because values vary based on the location in which they’re happening. Hockey Canada released a statement apologizing, which we’re sure was totally sincere, and Canadian Olympic Committee spokesman Steve Keough added that the behavior is “not exactly something uncommon in Canada.” See: Jon Montgomery.
