America breezed through the tournament, while Canada struggled. But when it came down to the big game, Canada got inspired performances from its players and took home the gold.
↵↵Being Americans, of course, we want it both ways. We want to be Herb Brooks’ team incarnate -- a scrappy underdog -- as well as a favorite that has the book on Canada’s goalie. We want everything. I want a cheeseburger right now, but I also do not want a cheeseburger. Appease me!
