Kevin Harvick Says Dog’s Death ‘Sucks’

When Kevin Harvick moved from California to North Carolina to pursue his dreams of a racing career, the first thing he did was buy a dog.

↵Harvick named the dog “Mills,” and the animal became a fixture in Harvick’s life and his Kevin Harvick Inc. race shop – a member of his family in many ways.

↵Mills passed away last week after battling an illness.

↵“Mills has been there longer than anybody,” Harvick said Friday. “It kind of sucks when you lose a dog; you don’t realize how attached to them you are until they are gone.

↵“She stayed at the shop every day, so I think the guys at the shop were actually as attached to her as I was. It sucks, but she had a good life.”
