Consider this post a public service announcement for foodies out there, or for any of you planning to host a Super Bowl party and not sure what to serve. ↵
The Most Delicious Super Bowl Post You’ll Read All Day
↵
The answer…all of this. Sarah Sprague of Black and Gold Tchotchkes, officially the hardest blog to spell in the world, is running a series she calls 14 Days of Super Bowl Recipes with many different treats to create for your friends, neighbors and loved ones. ↵
↵↵Here’s a list of what she’s made so far:↵
↵↵⇥Honey Roasted Pecans ↵⇥
↵⇥Fried Chickpeas
↵⇥Citrus Marinated Warm Olives↵⇥
↵⇥Smokey Cowboy Caviar↵⇥
↵⇥New Orleans Style Pimm’s Cups & Cucumber Tapas↵⇥
↵⇥Wasabi Peas↵⇥
↵⇥Pro Bowl Pretzel Bread↵⇥
↵⇥Mixed Fruit & Blueberry Salsas (with homemade chips)↵⇥
↵⇥Chicharrones de Pollo↵⇥
↵⇥New Orleans Jambalaya vs. Indianapolis Sugar Cream Pie↵↵And there are still four more days of recipes to go! Honestly, she’s doing the Lord’s work. Each recipe comes with a full list of ingredients, measurements and step-by-step instructions on how to make the dish, with photographs of each step. And she throws in some words of wisdom with each dish as well. For example, she’ll teach you how to make a wonderful chicken dish, while pulling you down off the ledge from watching every single commercial this Sunday.↵↵⇥Don’t let the marketing folks fool you, there is no reason to sit through all the ads during the Super Bowl. One, it’s still an ad and if you need to cling to advertising just to have something to talk about on Monday with your dull-ass coworkers, it might be time for you to look for a new job, I don’t care how bad the economy is in your respective industry.↵↵So go, enjoy, and your guests will thank you. Of course, I haven’t tasted any of the food, so don’t blame me if it doesn’t come out right. You can always order a pizza. Per Media Decoder, Pizza Hut has a new ad campaign launching during the pregame show – their assertion is the pizza’s already been ordered by game time – while Papa John’s has a spot that looks like pizza is being delivered by to the control room during the game coming right around the two-minute warning, for that halftime snack reminder.↵
