Norman, OK (Sports Network) - Tommy Mason-Griffin finished with 24 points, as Oklahoma downed No. 9 Texas, 80-71, to remain unbeaten at home and keep the Longhorns sliding.

Cade Davis finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Sooners (13-9, 4-4 Big 12), who are 11-0 as the host this season and have won 31 of their last 32 in Norman.

Ryan Wright added 11 points and 14 rebounds in the victory, Oklahoma’s second in its last three contests.

Avery Bradley finished with 21 points to pace the Longhorns (19-4, 5-3), whose four losses have come in their last six games. Damion James added 12 points and nine boards, and Gary Johnson had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

A major difference in the game was free throw shooting, as Oklahoma made 20- of-28 and Texas sank just 10-of-27. James was 4-of-13.

The Sooners played in front in the first half, extending their lead to double digits with three consecutive three-pointers. Mason-Griffin had the first, and Davis drained the next two for a 34-22 advantage with under seven minutes to go.

A few minutes later, Oklahoma embarked on a 14-1 run to end the half. The Sooners, who shot 10-of-24 from three-point range overall, made two more from long distance in the stretch as they took a 48-30 lead into the break.

Texas chipped away at its deficit in the second half, and back-to-back jumpers from Bradley got the Longhorns within 59-50 with under 12 minutes to play. After a Davis free throw, Bradley sank a three to make it a seven-point game.

The Longhorns were within single digits down the stretch, and a Jordan Hamilton jumper with three minutes to go made it a 71-65 game. Texas was within 73-68 on Johnson’s three-point play with 1:38 to go but was unsuccessful on its next few possessions, as the Sooners sealed the win at the foul line.

Texas fell to 4-3 in true road games. The Longhorns were the first ranked opponent to visit Norman this season...Oklahoma hosts Texas Tech on Tuesday, while Texas hosts Kansas on Monday.
