Mark Herzlich’s Stock Rising In Practice

Boston College’s Mark Herzlich, the potential first-round draftee out of Boston College who returned for his senior season only to discover he had bone cancer, is three months and change into remission and, according to his strength coach, making steady progress on the practice field:

↵Now Mark’s coming back from cancer which is something that I’m not used to. But structurally he’s good. And that’s the thing you’ve got to worry about and work on when you’re talking about getting your speed and agility back. Structurally are you OK? He had that rod inserted in that leg, he’s got 100 percent confidence in that leg.
↵If all goes well, Herzlich should see the field come fall, his goal from the very beginning. And he’s going to have a lot more fans this time.
