There are NFL throwback jerseys to be celebrated and there are those that just need to be thrown back. The Broncos brown and yellow design from their AFL days, in particular, is atrocious, but there are others that work a little better.↵
Green Bay Fans Will Soon Pull for the Navy and Khaki

↵↵The Green Bay Packers’ default uniform is one of the more classic looks in the league and, for the most part, the team has foregone using a third alternate jersey. The exception was in 1994, when Green Bay brought out a 1930s-era jersey for the the league-mandated 75th anniversary celebration.↵
↵↵But now the team is getting caught up in the throwback trend and for the upcoming season will be bringing back an even older version of their uniform. The Packers will have an official unveiling on Friday of a 1920s-era throwback during the kickoff of their FanFest event. Per NFL rules, a team can have a third jersey that for up to 5 years can be worn twice at home and once on the road, though Packers officials say the throwback will only be used once during the 2010 season.↵
↵↵⇥It consists of a plain navy blue jersey with a gold circle in the middle that contains a blue number, though the circle and number will be enlarged from the 1929 uniform to satisfy NFL rules. The pants and helmet from that season, as portrayed in a picture in the Packers’ press guide, are khaki.↵↵↵Obviously there will be jokes about the business casual look of khaki pants on the football field. Maybe the Packers can heighten that effect by making the tops navy polos.↵
