Sports Illustrated’s Josh Gross tweeted the following Thursday evening:“Mighty” Mo Siligia is probably going to fight Josh Barnett at Dream.13 on March 22.
Josh Barnett To Make DREAM Debut Against ‘Mighty’ Mo Siligia
Siliga is a K-1 kickboxer who has a career record of 14-10 with 11 KO wins, he also has a 2-1 professional boxing record and a 3-1 MMA record. His last mixed martial arts fight was in 2008 when he was submitted by Semmy Schilt.
This should be a fairly easy win for the more well-rounded Barnett. However, Josh has not had a fight since January of 2009 when he defeated Gilbert Yvel. Following that bout Barnett was ranked the #2 heavyweight in the world and was set to face Fedor Emelianenko at the Affliction: Trilogy event. Following a positive pre-fight drug test by Barnett the fight and event were completely scrapped while Affliction would never hold another show.
