Darren Rovell reports that Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill, which is set to open near Fenway Park, is going to start selling season passes for its tables. Such a pass will allow you a seat for every Red Sox game in addition to a food/drink credit.
Sports Bar To Sell Season Tickets...To A Sports Bar
↵↵On the surface, the $500 might seem tough to swallow, but if played right, it could be an incredible value. Consider the fact that the person who buys the season ticket gets a $25 food and beverage credit every time they show up. Watch 20 games at the restaurant and you’ve already made your money back.
↵↵I’m sort of startled to admit that this is actually a wise investment for some people. Personally, it’s not for me. While it’s certainly fun to yell at a television alongside 200 other people who are also laughing at a television, there’s something special about watching the game on a 20-year old, 20-inch television in a near-empty hole-in-the-wall bar. Hello, I am 85 years old. Hey, Squiggy! Another old-fashioned over here, and don’t fill it with ice like them hoboes down the street. Lemme tell you about them. Don’t tell me to shut my yap, you need to shut...ahhh, that’s the way, boys! Go Senators!
