It’s safe to say that over the past year or so, Larry Johnson has been one of the least-liked players in the NFL. His reputation of “productive malcontent” has evolved into simply “malcontent.” Now that he’s averaging around three yards per carry, nobody seems to have anything nice to say about him.
Signing Larry Johnson Might Not Have Been A Bad Idea, Maybe
↵Except, that is, for Hogs Haven, which has this to say:
↵↵Larry did OK in Cincy last year averaging 4.4 yards a carry and with age comes maturity. I personally think LJ will be a good addition
whenif Portis gets injured and to complement whatever young RB [coach Mike Shanahan] drafts.
↵↵Well...he did grow up a Redskins fan, and he did perform decently during his brief stint with the Bengals. Part of me wants to believe that he can turn 150 carries into 600 yards. Then again, part of me wishes the Braves would bring Brian Jordan out of retirement. There are several reasons why I am not a general manager, and this is one of them.
