P. Diddy Likes Crystal Palace’s Name. He’ll Take It.

Diddy

P. Diddy is everywhere. He’s namechecked at the beginning of that Ke$ha song that won’t go away. He’s hawking vodka on television. He’s saying hi to the world as he stands in front of the Mona Lisa.
↵
↵But there’s still one place Diddy has yet to be: the owner’s box. Okay, he’s probably been to one, but not yet as an owner. But he’s looking to change that by looking into purchasing a British soccer club. And he’s making the choice the same way a lot of folks probably filled out their March Madness brackets: by name.
↵↵⇥Diddy is keen to invest some of his reported £360million in a ↵⇥football club and is leaning towards Championship outfit Palace because ↵⇥he likes the name.↵⇥
↵⇥
↵⇥‘Portsmouth were mentioned but he thought Palace were a better idea. ↵⇥He could cover their debt and bankroll a return to the Premier League. ↵⇥He liked the name as well.’↵↵Crystal Palace may have the name more indicative of Diddy’s opulent lifestyle, but Portsmouth is presently the one in the Premier League -- even if they are on the brink of relegation. And after the 10 points Crystal Palace was docked for going into administration, they could be headed for League One relegation. General omnipresence aside, that’s no place for Diddy.↵
