The Phoenix Coyotes were trailing the Florida Panthers by one goal on Wednesday with the last minute of regulation creeping up. At one point, it was a 3-0 lead, but goals from Martin Hanzal and Lee Stempniak cut it down to 3-2. Then, with the Panthers looking to hang on, the unthinkable happened courtesy of Radim Vrbata.

↵Vrbata’s fluky goal on Tomas Vokoun sent the match to overtime and he would eventually score the shoot-out winner to give Phoenix a franchise record, 44th win of the season. Things aren’t nearly as enjoyable for the Panthers who lost in heartbreaking fashion and missed out on a crucial second point.
