Why Red Bull’s Scott Speed Dyed His Hair Black And Blue

Scott Speed is already an eccentric guy, but the Red Bull Racing driver has gotten a lot of strange looks this weekend with his new hair color – black and blue.

↵He had asked fans on Twitter if they thought he should change his hair color, and the response was an overwhelming yes.

↵“It was just one of those things where I was sort of bored looking in the mirror,” he said. “I had always done different stuff with my hair. I had a mohawk one time, I bleached it all platinum white one time. But...since I got married, honestly, I sort of lost the drive to fix myself.”

↵So much to the displeasure of his wife Amanda, Scott went ahead and fixed himself.

↵“Everyone said I should do it and I knew Amanda hated it and didn’t want me to do it, so I said, ‘Look babe, this is what the people want. Sorry,’” he said. “It kind of gave me the ammunition or the confidence to do it without causing too much problems at home.

↵“I’m happy and it looks awesome to me.”
