Attention, world: it’s okay to breathe again. Tiger Woods has finally consented to be lobbed softballs on camera.
Tiger Woods And ESPN, Together At Last
↵The Toronto Sun is reporting that Woods’ first one-on-one interview will be aired tonight. And while he couldn’t secure the soft focus of Barbara Walters or Inside Edition’s universe of vapid nonsense, he did find an old familiar friend--ESPN:
↵↵A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that ESPN will air a one-on-one interview with Tiger Woods on Sunday night.
↵The interview with Tom Rinaldi is scheduled to be shown after 7 p.m. Eastern.
↵↵Rinaldi will probably ask one or two tough questions, make no attempt to follow up on anything, and let Woods make declarative statements of self-interest all over the place like “It’s time to just get back to golf.”
↵Also, the fact that we’re spending significant amounts of time questioning Tom Rinaldi’s journalistic chops might mean that we, like Mr. Woods circa November 2009, need to seriously reevaluate our life’s priorities.
