Teemu Selanne added another major accomplishment to his career Sunday evening by scoring his 600th career NHL goal against the Colorado Avalanche. In an injury-riddled season, the Finnish Flash has shown the resilience that has made him a legend since he entered the league as a rookie who scored 76 goals with the Winnipeg Jets.

↵Congratulations Teemu.

↵Selanne is now two goals away from surpassing Jari Kurri’s record among Finnish-born players. He’ll likely achieve that before this season’s conclusion but Jaromir Jagr holds the record for most goals by a European-born player with 646.
↵Selanne, who turns 40 in July, has previously stated that this is his final year in the NHL. When he hangs his skates up, the hockey universe will have lost a tremendous athlete and a terrific person.
