The Kansas-Kansas State rivalry probably got one of its best recent moments a few seasons ago when Michael Beasley delivered this excellent quote: “We’re going to beat Kansas at home. We’re going to beat them in their house. We’re going to beat them in Africa.” The win by the Wildcats that season ushered in a new era of competitiveness. Sure, the Jayhawks swept the Wildcats this season, but K-State plays on to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Despite the hate between the two sides, CBS caught an interesting moment in Oklahoma City during this past weekend’s NCAA Tournament games.↵↵The Jayhawks and Wildcats weren’t in the same region for the tournament, but the pod scheduling system put the two rivals at the same site for the first and second rounds. As K-State prepared to take the floor, and a despondent Kansas squad exited to the locker room, floor generals Jacob Pullen and Sherron Collins crossed paths. It might not end the way you’d expect.↵

↵↵With that hug, do we have peace between the two sides? Probably not. More likely just a sign of respect for two guys who shared more than a few battles. That video is just part of the inside look CBS is getting at K-State, so head over there to check out more videos from their K-State Confidential series.↵
