Tonight’s Sweet 16 matchups just got a little competition. Sure, at first glance, Thursday’s Bulls-Heat game looks like any other regular season. Until you see who’s providing color commentary.
The Opposite Of Turrrrible: ‘Inside The NBA’ Takes Over The Broadcast Booth

↵Lots of fun tonight in Chicago. Kenny, Charles and I will call the Heat-Bulls game. Kenny will be tweeting during the nite.

↵For the unitiated, “Kenny, Charles, and Ernie” form the core of not just the best basketball show on TV, but maybe the best sports show ever. It’s that good. You don’t even have to enjoy pro basketball to appreciate Inside the NBA on TNT. Just hearing Kenny and Charles riff off of one another is entertainment enough. And hearing that riffing during a live NBA game is even better, a rare treat that TNT bestows judiciously, usually about once a year.
↵But tonight, with college basketball immersed in high drama, NBA fans will be treated to the highest of comedy. We’ll set the over/under on Joakim Noah jokes at 12, while planning for things to devolve into a debate on Dwyane Wade’s future—completely ignoring the game—by about the third quarter. Let’s just hope we get to hear Charles try to pronounce the name of Miami’s Yakhouba Diawara.
↵“YAH-kooba? Yah-KOOBA? He a Knucklehead.”
↵Set your TIVOs accordingly.
