The International Bowl Is Dead. Long Live Every Other Sixth-Tier Postseason Game.

The International Bowl has been “retired,“ where “retired” implies “left in a ditch for dead and disavowed.” Think you’re gonna miss it? You’re, um, completely alone on that:

↵Of the four games, the biggest crowd was in 2009, when the University at Buffalo participated, helping result in an attendance of 40,184.
Otherwise, the International Bowl, the only bowl game outside the U.S., has served as little more than a point of curiosity for fans.
↵Curiosity, mild derision, whatever you want to call it, the burning question remains: But where will lower-echelon teams be forced to spend their New Year’s holidays practicing and pining for the fun and sun of the Meineke Car Care Bowl? TRICK QUESTION; there won’t be a Big East anymore! Sleep tight!
