Kevin Willard Is Newest Seton Hall Coach
Iona coach Kevin Willard will be the next men’s basketball coach at Seton Hall University, according to souces close to the process.
The move to Willard comes after the top candidate on Seton Hall’s list, Siena skipper Fran McCaffery, accepted an offer to coach Iowa.
In fact, McCaffery was hired by Iowa only a few hours ago, which speaks to how quickly Seton Hall was determined to act.
The 34-year-old Willard has spent his entire three-year career at Iona. His career record is 45-49, but Willard was lauded for his ability to turn around a previously lackluster program.
