Prepare to feel worse about yourself. Or at least, kinda lazy.
Lyle Langlois Turns 80 In June, And He Is A Better Athlete Than You
↵Lyle Langlois is a retired computer professor who has a knack for endurance events. He has run a marathon in every state and finished an Ironman triathlon (that’s the one with a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a full 26.2-mile marathon). He’s bicycled across the country -- four times. Most recently, in March, Langlois completed 100 races in a 10-year span, including nearly 30 triathlons. Oh, and he’s 79-years old.
↵↵He’s already bicycled the circumference of New Zealand’s South Island, run around the Sea of Galilee and ascended 14,110-foot Pikes Peak in Colorado seven times.
↵That’s where he’ll celebrate the big 8-0 in June, ascending to a bed-and-breakfast at 10,200 feet with a legion of family and friends.
↵↵A final reminder that his life his more adventurous than yours, in every way imaginable: “If I ever write my memoirs, the opening line will be, ‘I took three wives to Africa’ -- in different decades of course.”
