College Park, MD (Sports Network) – Senior Greivis Vasquez poured in 20 points in his final home game and 22nd-ranked Maryland tied Duke atop the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 79-72 victory over the No. 4 Blue Devils.

Jordan Williams ended with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Terrapins (22-7, 12-3 ACC), who have won their last six games. They’ll end the regular season at Virginia on Saturday.
Eric Hayes had 13 points and Sean Mosley 11 for Maryland, which snapped a six- game skid against the Blue Devils.
Nolan Smith had 20 points for Duke (25-5, 12-3), which concludes its season at home against North Carolina on Saturday. Jon Scheyer had 19 points, while Kyle Singler ended with 14. Brian Zoubek had 13 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who went just 12-of-36 from the field in the second half.
A jumper from Scheyer tied the game at 69 with 2:04 remaining, but Williams countered with a layup.
Scheyer was then off the mark on a three-pointer and Vasquez made the shot of the night, falling away on the right side as the ball bounded high off the rim and through with 37 seconds left, sending the Maryland crowd into a frenzy.
The Blue Devils never recovered as Mosley, Williams and Vasquez each hit a pair of free throws down the stretch.
Maryland dominated the contest early, building a 33-19 lead following a Mosley three-ball with 6:07 remaining in the first half, but Duke netted the final nine of the half, hitting its final four from long distance and getting within 40-38 at intermission.
Scheyer’s two free throws moved Duke to a 46-42 lead with 17:16 left, but the Terrapins came back with an ensuing 12-3 spurt, widening their edge to 54-49 following a three-pointer from Adrian Bowie with nearly 11 minutes to play.
Maryland finished 17-of-19 at the foul line, while Duke was 10-of-16…The Blue Devils went 10-of-27 from beyond the arc.
