Carlos Lee Misses Spring Action to be With Cattle

That is not a typo. Some guys are still coming back from offseason surgeries. Other guys come down with a convenient flu bug because Spring Training can be tedious. But Carlos Lee is missing from Astros camp at the moment, with permission from the team, so he can attend the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Here are the details, via the

Houston Chronicle

:
↵↵⇥Lee, an avid cattle rancher with sprawling properties in his native Panama as well as in Wharton County, left camp after Wednesday’s workouts to attend the rodeo, where he has 11 entries.↵⇥↵⇥“He has my blessing,” Mills said. “It’s not something that just came up. We had discussed it when he first got here and it’s fine; there’s no problem.”↵⇥

↵↵↵I just wonder whether Lee goes through flip-outs like the trainers in Best In Show. Will he be hysterically running around, looking for a Busy Bee?↵

↵↵(H/T to Big League Stew, who also has an excellent Photoshop of Lee)↵
