Cavs Rally From Huge Deficit To Top Pistons 99-92, Stuckey Taken To Hospital
Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - LeBron James dropped 40 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and handed out six assists to lead Cleveland in a 99-92 win against Detroit at Quicken Loans Arena.
Antawn Jamison added 17 points and Anderson Varejao scored 16 and pulled down 10 rebounds in Cleveland's sixth straight win.
Detroit built up a 20-point lead in the first half and led through three quarters before a freakish medical emergency involving Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey cast a cloud over the end of the game.
Stuckey suffered what seemed to be a seizure during a timeout with 2:30 left in the third quarter and was rushed from the arena on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance. He was said to be stable after being taken to nearby Cleveland Clinic, but was given an EKG and an oxygen tank during a nearly 12-minute delay while Stuckey lay in front of Detroit’s bench.
Tayshaun Prince had 23 points and Richard Hamilton scored 20 for the Pistons, who have dropped six straight. Stuckey had 10 assists and eight points before leaving. Charlie Villanueva chipped in a dozen points.
