Minnesota Wild enforcer Derek Boogaard created a knee-on-knee collision with newly-acquired Edmonton Oiler Ryan Jones Friday evening. The Boogeyman was assessed a two-minute penalty and Jones was unable to compete in the final two periods.

↵Boogaard has had one suspension in his NHL career and that came last season for an elbow to the head of Calgary Flames winger Brandon Prust. These types of incidents have already gotten Alexander Ovechkin (two games) and Georges Laraque (five games) suspended this year.
↵Jones will go for an MRI today to reveal any possible damage done and that could be what decides Colin Campbell’s verdict.
