Ohio State’s Evan Turner was the unanimous pick as Player of the Year in the Big Ten as the conference announced its postseason award winners in voting done by the league’s coaches and media.
2009-10 All-Big Ten Team: Ohio State’s Evan Turner Named Conference’s Player Of The Year
Turner, just the fifth player from Ohio State to earn the PoY honors, led the first team, which also included Demetri McCamey of Illinois, Kalin Lucas of Michigan State, and Purdue’s Robbie Hummel and E’Twaun Moore.
Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year: Chris Kramer, Purdue
Big Ten Freshman of the Year: D.J. Richardson, Illinois (coaches)/Drew Crawford,Northwestern (media)
Sixth Man of the Year: Draymond Green, Michigan State
Big Ten Coach of the Year: Matt Painter, Purdue (coaches)/Thad Matta, Ohio State (media)
