I’ve had one bone to pick with online golf tournament leaderboards: why isn’t there a color-coded system to keep track of players I despise?
The CBS Sports Leaderboard, Now With ‘Despise’ Feature
Thankfully, CBSSports.com has remedied this issue. A feature on their leaderboard allows you to mark players as “favorite,” “preferred,” and “despised.”
So, let’s give this a spin. Even though he’s out of the tournament, I’ll go ahead and mark Fred Boice as my favorite for reasons that should hopefully be obvious. Preferred players...well...I guess I’ll go ahead and select noted golfing enthusiast Tiger Woods; he seems like a swell enough guy.
Now for the despised players.
- Lee Westwood (he made an unflattering remark about my shirt)
- Anthony Kim (one time he told me he would help me move and he didn’t, even though I helped him move last year and he had this huge oak cabinet that was impossible to get in the door without disassembling it; also, he said he would order pizza but did not)
- Fred Couples (buried me in a shallow grave and left me for dead. Half of those doubloons are mine, Couples!)
- Heath Slocum (dude is always saying “oblivious to” instead of “oblivious of”)
- Tom Watson (he is rumored to walk down the street and hit strangers in the back of the head with a sack of potatoes)
- Phil Mickelson (hates kittens, likes Coldplay, loves nothing)
This tool has proven invaluable. Thank you, CBS Sports.
