Top 12 Points Shakeup: Fortunes Shift For Busch Bros.
Busch is now 14th in the point standings, while younger brother Kyle gained four positions to move to 12th.
Aside from the elder Busch, some of the big losers included Kasey Kahne (down six spots to 26th) and his Richard Petty Motorsports teammate Elliott Sadler (down six spots to 29th).
Paul Menard and Brian Vickers also fell out of the top 12, which cleared room for Joey Logano (11th) and Carl Edwards (sixth) to jump in.
Edwards – along with race winner Ryan Newman – were the biggest gainers, moving up six spots each. Newman still has a ways to go, though: He’s 16th in points.
There was also a shakeup in the owner points. Robby Gordon is back in the top 35, while Travis Kvapil fell out.
