I bet Roy Halladay knew.
Halladay spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays. That means for 12 years, he was facing a designated hitter, instead of a pitcher batting in the ninth spot. And he still was dominant, throwing at least five complete games in four of his final five years in the A.L., recording over 200 strikeouts in both 2008 and 2009 and posting an ERA+ of 133 during his 12 years in Toronto.
