Report: Santonio Holmes Traded To New York Jets

Pro Football Talk is reporting that troubled Streelers WR Santonio Holmes has been traded to the New York Jets.

Holmes is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. The Steelers, already dealing with the Ben Roethlisberger situation and two players with legal trouble might be too much for the conservative franchise to bear.

Update: Peter King is reporting that the Jets traded their fifth-round pick (155th overall) for Holmes. Clearly, the Steelers were looking to move Santonio ASAP.
