Okay, so the past few weeks, we’ve gotten noncommittal signals from LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and... Now Carmelo Anthony is skipping out on Team USA, or at least leaning that way. Chris Tomasson reports:

↵↵Asked if he’s wavering in the commitment he gave last fall to play, Anthony said, “Yeah.”
“I wasn’t expected to have the plans that I have,” Anthony said of his situation changing due to his marriage to MTV personality LaLa Vazquez, which likely will be in New York.
↵↵And as far as those superstars are concerned, that’s fine. They’ve earned it. Plus, Lala Vasquez is Puerto Rican, and you just don’t say no to a Puerto Rican woman. If she wants to get married this summer, Jerry Colangelo can wait.
↵Besides, this really offers the perfect forum for Kevin Durant to cement his ascendance into the upper echelon of the basketball elite. No LeBron, no D-Wade, no Bosh, no Melo... No problem. Give Durantula the rock, and clear out.
