Let’s get the (relatively) boring parts out of the way: Tottenham beat Arsenal in English Premier League action on Wednesday, 2-1 -- it was Spurs’ first win over The Gunners since 1999. It pretty much ended any hope Arsenal had of winning the EPL (it’s Chelsea’s to lose now), and it should go a long way in helping Tottenham qualify for the Champions League. Okay, so, that’s all pretty neat. Now let’s move on to Danny Rose.

↵Rose, a 19-year-old midfielder who was making his first EPL start today, gave Tottenham an early 1-0 advantage in the 10th minute with a shot that is being described as a “spectacular volley”; a strike that was “returned ... with interest ... an unstoppable volley”; and a “thunderbolt” that “was hit with ... venom.”
