Hawk Harrelson Pulls a Dan Rather

↵I can’t say that I watch enough White Sox games on their local feed to say whether announcer Ken “Hawk” Harrelson is a reliable font of folksy yet barely comprehensible expressions, much in the often lampooned style of former CBS News anchor Dan Rather. Still, he dropped a good one the other day when the Pale Hose squeaked out an 8-7 win over the Blue Jays in an 11-inning thriller. After Sox closer Bobby Jenks recorded a strike out to end the game, Harrelson exclaimed, “You couldn’t pull a greased tee out of my behind with a pair of pliers.”↵↵We’ll take him at his word.↵
