Jason Campbell signed his restricted free agent tender last week lending to the speculation that he would eventually be traded.
Panthers Haven’t Shown Any Interest In Jason Campbell
So far that hasn’t happened.
Peter King of SI.com recently said the Panthers are “by far” the best destination for Campbell. However, according to the Charlotte Observer, they’ve expressed no interest at this point.
Matt Moore is seemingly the man in Carolina so I’m not sure why that would present the best opportunity for Campbell. He’s young and could conceivably find a starting job at some point in the NFL. It would seem to me that the Panthers would be less likely to give up on Moore since he’s young and has demonstrated the ability to run the Panthers offense successfully.
