Now That He’s Famous And All, Carl Nicks Is Sorry

Carl Nicks, a young left guard for the New Orleans Saints, was something of a bon vivant in his college days at Nebraska, to the point of getting himself banned from his own team’s pro day. Yesterday, he journeyed to Lincoln to try and make amends:

↵Carl Nicks made a surprise visit a Nebraska’s practice on Wednesday to apologize to coach Bo Pelini and athletic director Tom Osborne for bad behaviour when he was a Cornhusker.
“I was proud of my school, but I know my school wasn’t proud of me, so that was important to me,” Nicks said. “I’m embarrassed.” […] “I have to make it right with him, Mr. Osborne and everyone I did wrong when I was here.”
↵Clearly, Nicks is clearly gunning for some of Ben Roethlisberger’s family-friendly beef jerky endorsement money, and we wish him all the best in this endeavor.
