When folks complain about why NBA teams rest their starters late in the season, the Lakers will probably point to Sasha Vujacic's ankle injury suffered tonight in a meaningless game against the Clippers as the reason why.
The Reason You Rest: Sasha Vujacic Carted Off With Ankle Injury
The Lakers continued to be bugged by injuries in their regular-season finale Wednesday night, as Sasha Vujacic suffered a severe sprain to his left ankle late in the second quarter.
Vujacic did not appear able to put any weight on his left foot as he was carried off the court by teammate Jordan Farmar and trainer Gary Vitti. It did not have the look of something that will go away in a few days.
Vujacic will undergo an MRI exam Thursday for further analysis.
