NASCAR Nationwide Race Postponed; Doubleheader On Tap For Sunday

Due to lingering rain in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, NASCAR has postponed Saturday’s scheduled Nationwide Series race to Sunday night at 8 p.m. local time (9 Eastern).

It will be run following the Sprint Cup race, which is still scheduled to begin shortly after 2 p.m. local time (3 ET) tomorrow.

The Sprint Cup race will air on Fox; the Nationwide race is scheduled for ESPN2.

There were no doubleheaders last year, but rain forced two Cup-Nationwide doubleheaders in 2008: One at California in February and one at Richmond in September.

The July Daytona races also were forced to be run on the same day in 2007.
