How To Win The Boston Marathon In Three Easy Steps

After Monday’s Boston Marathon, which was won by (the other) Robert Cheruiyot, you may find yourself inspired to take on the challenge of competing in a marathon. That’s great! But why stop there? Why just settle for completing in it, when with a simple plan, you could go out and win it?!

↵Modeled after Robert Cheruiyot’s winning strategy used in today’s 114th running of Boston, you too can become an elite distance runner! Just follow these three easy steps:

  1. ↵↵Run at a 4:48-mile pace↵Continue to do that for 26.2 miles (but don’t forget to increase your speed when you get to the hills, turning in mile times of 4:35, 4:45 and 4:36 from miles 22-24!)↵Congratulations, you win!

↵↵Now get out there and start winning marathons!
