Bruins 2, Sabres 1: Bergeron’s Late Goal Gives Boston Game 3 Win, And 2-1 Series Lead

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Patrice Bergeron’s tally late in regulation was the difference, as Boston edged Buffalo, 2-1, in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series from TD Garden.

Dennis Wideman also tallied for the Bruins, who took a series lead behind 32 stops by Tuukka Rask.

Mike Grier notched the lone score for the Sabres, who have dropped two in a row since opening the set with a 2-1 victory last Thursday.

Ryan Miller was the hard-luck loser after stopping 27-of-29 shots.

Game 4 returns to the Bruins’ home rink on Wednesday.
