Star outfielder Manny Ramirez came out of Thursday's game with a calf strain after hitting a single. He's scheduled for a Friday morning examination to determine the extent of the injury:
Manny Ramirez Getting MRI On His Calf
Manny Ramirez is scheduled for an MRI exam this morning.
The injury is a re-aggravation of a right calf strain that limited Ramirez's game action last weekend. Should he have to go on the DL, the Dodgers would end up seeing a lot of Reed Johnson and Garret Anderson to fill in.
The Dogers have hit the snot out of the ball so far this season, and Ramirez is a big reason why, with 17 hits in 41 at bats. The Ramirez/Andre Ethier/Matt Kemp outfield has combined for an impressive 14 home runs and a .373 batting average.
