Pete Carroll previously coached a running back named LenDale White while at USC.
2010 NFL Draft: LenDale White Traded To The Seahawks, Reunited With Pete Carroll
Now, Carroll will coach White in the NFL.
The Titans traded their 111th and 185th pick as well as White and defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson for the Seahawks 104th and 176th picks.
SB Nation’s Seahawks community, Field Gulls, is loving this trade.
White is a good power back, and losing carries to Chris Johnson is no major failure. White needs to get his shape under control for more than five minutes to be effective and shouldn’t steal carries from Justin Forsett. However, Seattle spent almost nothing to grab White. Vickerson has good length, and could peak late. He just turned 27. This is all upside.
Meanwhile, SB Nation’s Titans community, Music City Miracles, feels it’s a good deal for both sides.
So, we finally get a CB, but he’s probably going to be remembered as the guy we traded LenDale White for (and Kevin Viskerson). This one could work for both sides though, as LenDale gets to reunite with his beloved college coach, and we get a higher 4th and 6th round pick to help build some much-needed depth in the secondary.
