2010 NFL Draft, Round 4: This Is Where The Picks Start Flying

As the Super Bowl winners, the Saints are picking at the end of each round so their draft can be relatively boring. However, that doesn’t stop Saints fans from getting jacked up when one of their needs is “finally” addressed.

Here’s what SB Nation’s Canal Street Chronicles had to say about Al Woods, out of LSU:

The Cowboys held the 119th pick in the fourth round but traded down with the Dolphins to acquire the 126th and 179th picks.

The first two days of the 2010 NFL Draft offered a sight rarely seen in Radio City Music Hall: the Oakland Raiders making intelligent, need-based picks (selecting Rolando McClain, Lamarr Houston and Jared Veldheer). Well, not to worry, because the Raiders are up to their usual tricks Saturday in the Fourth Round, taking a pair of combine studs, Bruce Campbell and Jacoby Ford, the latter of which turned in the fastest 40-time in Indianapolis. So why the sudden shift in thinking? As our blog Mocking The Draft surmises, looks like Al Davis finally woke up.

Kirk Morrison was rumored to be on the trading block for several weeks and today the Raiders confirmed that trading him to the Jaguars.

The terms of the trade:

Pete Carroll previously coached a running back named LenDale White while at USC.

Now, Carroll will coach White in the NFL.

Over at Buffalo Rumblings, they note that while WR Marcus Easley has skills, his selection went against the philosophy the Bills set out before the draft.

By the time Round 3 ended on Friday night, NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock sounded awful. His voice was gone.

It’s now Saturday morning, and somehow Mayock’s voice is even more gone. I mean, listen to him! At this point, I actually feel uncomfortable watching/listening to him. It’s scary. And they’re still expecting him to speak from time to time.
