2010 NFL Draft: Kirk Morrison Traded To The Jaguars For Barely Anything

Kirk Morrison was rumored to be on the trading block for several weeks and today the Raiders confirmed that trading him to the Jaguars.

The terms of the trade:

  • Jaguars gave up: 4th round pick:
  • Raiders gave up: 5th round pick and Kirk Morrison

SB Nation’s Big Cat Country says, “No, this is not April Fools” in response to the trade.

The Jaguars wound up setting their starting middle linebacker though, as I predicted (aka hoped about on Twitter...), trading for veteran Kirk Morrison. Morrison will come in immediately and start on a Jacksonville defense that Is obviously going through a face lift. The Jaguars have significantly upgraded their defensive “triangle” as I like to call it (DT/DT/MLB) in this trade with the picks of Alualu, Smith, and Morrison.

BCC ended their response appropriately: “Thanks, Al.”
