A big upset in the featherweight division as Manny Gamburyan was able to land a short right hand that dropped former champion Mike Brown. A few hammerfists later and the referee was pulling Manny off of Brown and awarding him the TKO victory.

It was a short fight but Brown looked very hesitant to engage fully and Gamburyan used very nice footwork to pick his spots to try to unload with hard punches. Eventually Brown attempted to step in and flurry but ducked his head down and took his eyes off Gamburyan. Manny landed hard with a short right and as they say “it’s the punches you don’t see that hurt the most” and Brown was plenty hurt.
The win will send current #8 Gamburyan up the featherweight rankings and #2 Brown will likely tumble.
