Chipper Jones Injures Hip On What Is Allegedly His 38th Birthday

During Saturday's game against the Mets, Chipper Jones injured his hip while swinging and had to leave the game. The Atlanta Courier-Journal's Dave O'Brien tweets:

Chipper left game with sore right hip, day to day (on his 38th birthday)

Followed up with:

[Chipper] Jones said he felt a pop in his right hip on first swing of his first at-bat today. Could be bursa, could be a tendon, don't know yet

This, unfortunately, has been par for the course during the tail end of Jones' career. We'll come back with an update once the Braves say how long they expect him to be out.
